JAPANESE WHOLESALE VEHICLE AUCTION UNGRADED VEHICLES
There are sometimes vehicles that don't fit any of the overall grade categories. These are classed as "Ungraded Vehicle".
The auction sheet will often have "invalid" over the vehicle description shown with the kanji characters "無効" or the number "99".
The most common Ungraded Vehicles are defective vehicles. This includes vehicles with severe crash damage, significant body or mechanical problems. Non-driveable vehicles are normally given this grade.
Another class of vehicles that might be ungraded are very old or unusual vehicles. This can include replica and classic cars.
While ungraded vehicles will often be defective, the ungraded category doesn't by itself mean that the vehicle is defective. You can sometimes have key points about the vehicle clarified by a personal inspection of the vehicle on the morning of the auction.
